Tim Armstrong Memorial Bursary in Agriculture & Journalism
In memory of J.R. (Tim) Armstrong's outstanding contribution to British Columbia journalism and the agricultural industry, a bursary in the minimum amount of $1,000 is awarded each year from the proceeds of the J.R. (Tim) Armstrong Memorial Fund.
The fund is raised by public subscription under the sponsorship of the B.C. Farm Writers' Association.
The bursary is open to British Columbia students who are enrolled in the second year or higher of a full-time agriculture or journalism program at a university, institute or regional college in British Columbia or another province. Applicants must be either a Canadian citizen or hold landed immigrant status. Selection is based on academic merit and financial need.A
The 2023 award applications close December 31, 2023 and winners will be announced by January 31, 2024.
