The Canadian Food Inspection Agency CFIA will host a webinar providing resources for grape importers on September 13 via zoom.
Join industry colleagues and association representatives for this informative session on navigating administrative requirements for importing grapes from the USA into Canada. The session will focus on the paperwork needed to import grapes into BC from Washington state and follow with a Q&A session with CFIA staff.
Representatives from the CFIA and CBSA will be on hand to share regulatory details and answer questions including:
- What paperwork is required for crossing the border?
- What is the difference between bringing in fruit and juice?
- What containers can be used for bringing fruit in?
- Can wineries send their own bins to the USA for transferring fruit?
- What is DRC membership and how are companies exempt?
- What will CBSA be looking for when fruit is coming into Canada?
- MyCanadaFoodSafe Certifications and expiry dates.
Questions can be submitted in advance to info@bcwgc.org prior to September 12.
