Universal Packaging Renews Commitment to Innovation
Universal Packaging today announced a renewed commitment to innovation. Universal Packaging developed an Innovation Team to ensure that the company is on the leading edge of bottle decoration technology. The formation of the Innovation Team was accompanied by the announcement that Amy Haselman will be directing the initiative as Art Department and Innovation Leader. Haselman stated, “I am excited about this opportunity to drive positive change in the area of innovation here at Universal Packaging. We have been an industry leader for a long-time but we cannot rest on our laurels”.
Universal Packaging has been supplying premium packaging solutions to the wine, beer and spirit industries since 1985. President and CEO Steve Pelkey commented “innovation is embedded in our culture and mission statement. It is what separates Universal Packaging from everyone else”. Pelkey went on to state that “we recently spent $1.2 million upgrading our plant and equipment. This large financial commitment shows that we are serious about investing in innovation.”
Universal Packaging is located in Vernon, British Columbia, where it operates a 40,000 square foot decorating plant and warehouse. It is a family-owned company that prides itself on employing 60 outstanding teammates in Washington, Oregon and B.C. Universal Packaging is the largest bottle decorator in North America and it has been supplying the wine, spirit and beer industries for 30 years. It is the only true “one-stop-shop” packaging supply company to these industries.
