Low and no alcohol masterclass tackles microbiological risk
The BC beverage sector continues to expand into low and no alcohol categories, and with that growth comes new technical challenges. On Wednesday, March 18, industry professionals will have an opportunity to explore one of the most pressing issues in the space: microbiological risk.
The BC Beverage Technology Access Centre (BC BTAC), in partnership with WeBC and Okanagan College, is hosting a free masterclass titled Microbiological Risks in Low and No Alcohol Beverages. The session runs from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm in a hybrid format, with both in-person and online participation options.
In-person attendees will gather at Okanagan College’s Penticton campus in the Wine Sensory Lab at the BC BTAC facility. Participants will receive light refreshments, have the opportunity to network with peers and tour the newly opened BC BTAC production lab. An online link will be distributed to registered participants.
The masterclass will be delivered by Dr. Sonja Lloyd, a microbiologist with more than twenty-five years of experience working with microbes in food and beverage systems.
Cost is free to beverage industry professionals. Register here
