Saanichton, BC – Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse is thrilled to announce that three of its ciders have taken home medals in this year’s “Best of the Northwest” awards.
The “Best of the Northwest” awards is an annual competition organized by Sip Magazine to recognize the best wine, beer, spirits and cider crafted in the Pacific Northwest. In its 9th year, this year’s competition attracted hundreds of producers from British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. Ciders were divided into 11 sub-categories, where judges honoured four ciders in each sub-category with medals. Sea Cider took home three medals: a gold for their “Ruby Rose” cider in the Rosé category, a gold for their “Prohibition” cider in the Wood Aged category and a Platinum for their “Birds and the Bees” cider in the Specialty category.
“We are honoured to receive this recognition,” says Kristen Needham, Sea Cider’s Owner and General Manager. “These medals reflect the hard work of our production staff and the quality of the apples and fruit we use in our ciders. Such great results at this year’s competition is particularly meaningful in 2020, when we could all use some good news.”
