History
Avenue Machinery Corp. opened its doors in 1947 in Mission, B.C. Specializing in the sale and service of Massey Ferguson farm tractors.
In 1968 - Avenue moved to their current location in Abbotsford.
In 1976 - Avenue took on the Kubota line of equipment, starting with a few models of compact tractors to compliment the larger Massey Ferguson products.
In 2000 - Avenue was sold to the Marubeni Corporation of Japan, at that time they expanded to include the Central and North Okanagan area, now with dealerships in Abbotsford, West Kelowna and Vernon. Then in 2012 Avenue was sold to Dave Brandsma, Andy Mitchell, Chris Britten and Al Short, bringing Avenue back into local ownership, with a combined 75 years of equipment sales and service expertise the new owners are well versed in the agriculture and light construction industry.
Having the owners live and work in the local area has enabled Avenue to grow to new levels of success, with a focus on bringing top level service and expanded parts availability our sales have grown to be a leader in the agriculture and light construction sectors.
From our roots in the dairy industry in the Fraser Valley Avenue has expanded to include all sectors of the agriculture industry and we are now becoming a force in the light construction equipment market as well. We recognize that it’s our customers that bring us our success, this being our 70th anniversary we want to give a special thank you to everyone that has given us the pleasure to serve them, so please stop by and celebrate our 70th anniversary.
Over the Years
Many times in the past Avenue achieved sales awards, and that trend has returned, in 2014 and 2015 Avenue achieved the highest award from Kubota Canada as the Platinum dealer in Western Canada.
We are proud of our success in the past few years and owe that success to our great customers and to Kubota for their reliable products, 2016 was another record breaking year and with our spring sale coming up, March 10th an 11th in Abbotsford and April 1st in Vernon we will again kick off what we feel is going to be another strong year in the Ag and construction industries in B.C., look for our flyer in the mail, take notice of the new Kubota loyalty sales incentive, if you already have a Kubota or have in the past, you qualify for the loyalty discount.
Products
Kubota Corporation has in the last few years been expanding their offering to introduce larger and heavier tractors, now up to the 170HP range, they have also introduced their new skid steer products and they have hit the market with instant success, the strength of the Kubota product is reliability, and that commitment to quality is paying dividends today. Kubota has also acquired Kvernland manufacturing from Europe, supplying products such as plows, cultivators and balers and mowers, Kvernland is considered to be of the highest quality so it’s a great fit to Kubota’s philosophy of quality first. Kubota recently acquired Great Plains manufacturing in the U.S.A., Great Plains makes a number of products the pair up well with Kubota’s compact tractor line so we have just about every attachment that you need to get the job done.
Fendt Tractors are considered to be the Mercedes Benz of farm tractors, with a lineup of products that range from 90HP to 500HP. Fendt leads the market with the highest degree of technology to maximize operator comfort, best in class fuel consumption, reliable CVT transmissions and reduced maintenance costs, truly the best tractor in the world.
Krone Harvesting equipment is built in Germany and considered the very best in quality and manufacturing processes, they supply us with mower conditioners, hay balers, hay rakes, and high speed self-propelled harvesters used in large acreage production farming, simply great products.
