Sparkling Wine Styles Seminar
Brought to you by Artus Bottling and Nuance with the support of Okanagan College, the Bottling Excellence Lecture Series is designed to help you improve the quality of your wines by giving you access to leading edge presenters, technology and worldwide best practices.
Sparkling wine production is getting more and more popular and many Canadian wineries are either producing some already, or thinking about launching a sparkling line. There is a huge range of different sparkling wine styles in the world. It is crucial to chose a style that suits one's target market and is compatible with the Canadian grape production conditions. Plan to join us as we share best practices for best results.
There will be an opportunity for networking with your industry peers and time for a Q&A session.
The lecture will be held at Okanagan College in Penticton.
Guest Speakers:
- Belinda Kemp, from CCOVI Brock University, will present her view and experience on Ontario sparkling wine production.
- Marcello Galetti, wine consultant in Italy, will tell us about different Italian sparkling wine types including Prosecco and Lambrusco. In addition to this, Marcello will give a technical and practical presentation on Charmat method.
- Denis Bunner, Chef de Cave assistant at Champagn Bollinger, will present the main different styles found in Champagne and how they are achieved.
The fee of $40 plus GST includes lectures, breakfast, lunch and multiple sparkling wine samples.
