Carmens Group acquired The Good Earth Food and Wine Co., a winery and bistro in Beamsville, Ontario, in January 2025.
This change in ownership brought the addition of Matt Loney and his previous winery experience to the role of general manager. Plus, there’s a new focus on weddings and special events with the recent addition of a robust tent and infrastructure on the grounds. This new setting allows guests to share their special moments with the backdrop of vineyards and orchards along the southwest tip of Lake Ontario.
Up to 40 new jobs are expected to be created as a result of Carmens Group’s investment and expansion into the events sector.
The bistro features a seasonal menu that focuses on fresh vegetables and herbs. Guests can pair their meals with estate red, white, rosé or sparkling wines.
Winemaker Ilya Senchuk will continue to work alongside the bistro’s executive chef, Andrew Thorne, to create dining experiences that celebrate both food and wine.
