RTV 1100
Before you buy any new equipment to improve your operations efficiency in 2013, have a look at what Kubota has to offer. "All models feature Kubota's own engines (aside from the RTV400), transmissions, and major components," said Adam Haney, Senior Marketing Specialist for Kubota Canada. "Kubota co-engineers every piece of equipment and Kubota implements to operate in the most efficient design possible to provide optimal performance and reliability. Kubota manufactures loaders, backhoes and mowers then partners with industry leaders for Kubota matched approved vendors to offer a complete package. As an environmental conscious company Kubota prides our engines to exceed the industry standards for regulations.
Compact Narrow Tractor - B2320DTN
If you are looking for a narrow tractor, this small 23 HP tractor is only 35.4" wide with narrow ag tires. "This tractor is ideal for working between vine rows for maintenance such as mowing or light tilling applications," said Haney. "It has power steering for easy and tight turns, and a powerful category I, three-point hitch."
For all day operation on your vineyard or orchard this model has a seat that provides ample back and lumbar support, improving operator comfort during long hours of operation. The 23HP liquid-cooled diesel engine has Kubota’s E-TVCS (three-vortex combustion system), which offers up tremendous power, high torque, cleaner emissions, and low noise and vibration.
"This model was designed to handle a variety of implements with fast and easy hook-up," explained Haney. "We’ve expanded the lift cylinder bore diameter and changed the link ratio for an increased lift capacity of 23% compared to the B2320 (DT/HST), which amounts to 1300 lbs. (24" behind lift point)."
Safety comes first with this model with an easy-to-read dash panel that helps you keep track of engine speed, temperature and fuel level. The slanted hood offers a clear view of what's ahead of you.
Open Station Utility Tractors - M6040DTNH1 and M7040DTNH1
Kubota offers two open station tractors with ROPS (Roll over protection structure) in a narrow configuration. Both are 48" wide with Kubota direct injection engines, which controls the precise amount of fuel injection for optimal performance and fuel economy.
Both models offer the foldable mid-mount ROPS and a category I & II, three-point hitch. Both have a 8F/8R hydraulic shuttle. The difference is in the HP, with the 6040 at 63 HP (56.0 PTO Hp) and the 7040 at 71.0 HP (64.0 PTO Hp).
"These two tractors were built specifically for vineyard and orchard work," said Haney. "They are narrow and compact and offer exceptional maneuverability and power. The M series tractors have a redesigned bevel-gear front axle which gives them greater strength, maneuverability and durability to handle their very specific demands. Kubota’s exclusive Bi-Speed Turn feature rotates the front wheels at a rate of speed nearly twice that of the rear wheels whenever the front wheels exceed a turning angle of about 30 degrees."
The result is a smoother, tighter turn, allowing you to turn into an adjacent crop row on your first attempt. This feature also helps to significantly reduce surface damage. For safety, the Bi-Speed turn feature is automatically cancelled when traveling at higher speeds.
Cab Tractors - M7040DTNHC, M8540DTNHC, M8540NHC10
These cab tractors were built for all kinds of weather. These models will help you beat the summer heat or stay warm in winter with the deluxe air conditioner/ heater. It offers maximum airflow and optimizes cooling, heating, and air ventilation to help you work comfortably in any temperature. The M7040 and M8540 narrow tractors provide ample head clearance for maximum visibility, and offers protection from heavy weather, branches, insects and more.
The M7040DTNHC, as with all M series tractors, are equipped with center-direct injection system engines. The E-CDIS engine offers a rare combination of more power, optimum durability, and greater efficiency. Like peace and quiet? Not to worry, these engines have lower noise levels, which equate to less stress and fatigue, especially after a long day on the tractor. The M7040DTNHC is 48" wide and stands 89" tall and has 71.0 HP.
One step up is the M8540 models are also 48" wide and has 85.5 HP with all the same great features as the 7040. "This model is ideal for spraying applications with factory cab for tight seal. The Kubota direct injection engines, controls precise amount of fuel injection for optimal performance and fuel economy," said Haney. The M8540DTHNC offers an 8 speed transmission while the M8540NHC10 provides an additional two speeds for finer adjustments to your operation and faster road speed when travelling between orchards or vineyards.
Looking for more traction? Have a look at the M8540NPK. "It's the same as the 8x8 cab narrow tractor with tracks on rear of tractor for added traction," explained Haney. "It's 54" wide, has a category I and II, three-point hitch, gear drive with hydraulic shuttle and of course the Kubota direct injection engine.
General Purpose - MX4700/5100DT/HST
Both these models are excellent general-purpose tractors. The MX4700 and MX5100 boast 46 and 50 net engine horsepower respectively. The 4700 delivers 39.5 PTO horsepower and the 5100 offers 44 PTO horsepower, giving you the power to work more efficiently. These tractors also feature a built-in balancer that helps minimize vibration and noise. Plus, they comply with 2008 EPA Interim Tier 4 emission regulations, to keep you running clean.
As with other models, these tractors have the Kubota direct injection engines, and a category I and II, three-point hitch with adjustable links on MX5100HST model. "This is a very popular tractor to have a Munckhof bin loader installed for quick and easy loading of trailers/shipments. Offered at a great price," said Haney.
