The MX5800 is the perfect tractor for moving pallets, bins, boxes, totes and barrel racks.
Kubota Tractor Corporation recently announced its latest arrival to the MX-Series family – the MX5800 utility ag tractor. This tractor is a four-wheel-drive HST model that delivers over 61.4 gross horsepower. To sweeten the deal, it’s also environmentally-friendly (meets Tier 4 standards), has increased engine power, and is so comfortable you may not want to get out of it at the end of the day.
The MX5800 Delivers what it Promises
Orchardists and grape growers love the MX5800 as it big enough to do all the heavy lifting and the fuel economy is great. Add to that good old Kubota reliability and it is truly the leader of the pack. Low profile tires can be added for working in steep areas, or it can be narrowed up for use in an orchard. It’s a great tractor to use as a bin tipper and to move things around on the property.
Andrew Brownell of Avenue Machinery loves what the MX5800 offers his customers. “The best thing about this tractor is its great power to weight ratio, it can lift a lot for its size. The MX5800 features a 61.4 horsepower engine and is hands down the best bang for your buck. It has a hydrostatic transmission for infinite speeds without the need to shift, and you can get a quick attach loader that makes it very easy to change from fork to bucket.”
Rob Zandee of Gerard’s Equipment agrees. “Its physical size gives you lots of adaptability for different loader applications and bin loader applications. If you are using it to rotate bins, physically it’s a good size tractor for that. In addition, the hydrostat transmission is the only way to go when doing lots of back and forth with a tractor.”
He adds; “The MX5800 has easy-turn hydrostatic power steering, and a touch-and-turn electric PTO switch on the right side of the console for convenient operation with a push and turn start. It handles smoothly makes traveling between jobs a breeze.”
The MX5800 diesel utility tractor is the largest crossover hydrostatic tractor on the market, with one of the smoothest running 4-cylinder diesel engines in the industry. If that isn’t enough, consider the comfort factor. The MX5800 has a wide, comfortable seat, a wide deck with ample legroom, and a digital LCD dash panel.
“It’s everything my customers need in a utility tractor and then some,” said Brownell. “Its HST systems increase pedal responsiveness and shifting ease whatever your load size. This reduces vibration and fatigue and it improves the overall performance of the tractor and adds to operator comfort.”
The flat deck enables safe and easy mounting and dismounting, with 30 inches of space between fenders, giving farmers more room to work. When you are sitting all day, you’ll appreciate the suspension seat and the easy-to-operate hanging pedals that optimize legroom. It has the necessities as well, including a convenient cup holder, a behind-the-seat toolbox, and large, easy-to-read gauges.
On top of all this, the MX5800 has a 13.5-gallon capacity fuel tank, which enables farmers to have more productive time with fewer stops for refuelling.
The one-piece slanted hood of the MX5800 increases the operator’s field of view and is made of steel to make it tough. The fully opening hood has hydraulic dampers for easier access, and makes routine maintenance checks fast and effective.
Front Loader and Backhoe
Kubota’s performance-matched LA1065 front loader delivers impressive performance with a maximum lift height at pivot pin of 111.2 inches, and lift capacity at pivot pin of 2,275 pounds. There is dual function ability for simultaneous operation of the lift and bucket circuit, and the regenerative dump circuit provides fast bucket dump times.
The BH92 backhoe delivers power and greater capacity with 9.1 feet of digging depth. Attaching and detaching is simple and, with the hoses routed through the backhoe arm operation, it looks clean and offers better protection. The flat deck delivers optimal legroom while the optional hydraulic thumb offers greater versatility for working the backhoe.
Attaching and working with large implements is simplified with the powerful Category I and II 3-point hitch, as well as the telescoping link ends and stabilizers that come standard on the MX5800.
