VANCOUVER, BC - The Wines of British Columbia are proud to partner with The Sunday Local at Food Cart Fest 2015 to bring several of BC's top wineries together with Vancouver's best food trucks for some outstanding local wine and food pairings.
Now in its fourth year running, Food Cart Fest is excited to now be able to offer attendees local libations as part of the popular festival. The Sunday Local at Food Cart Fest features live music along with local BC VQA wineries, craft brewers and spirit producers. This new area promises to make the festival more vibrant and add a lot of excitement to the overall event.
Throughout the 11-week festival, over 20 BC wineries will be featured on rotation each week until September 6, giving attendees a true taste of British Columbia. "We are very excited to be partnering with Food Cart Fest this year," remarks BC Wine Institute Marketing Director Maggie Anderson. "Food trucks are very trendy right now and we feel that the Wines of British Columbia provide the perfect pairings as our wines are fresh, fruit-forward and easy to pair with an array of cuisines and cooking styles."
Food Cart Fest takes place every Sunday until September 6 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 215 West 1st Avenue (Along the Seawall, Under the Cambie Bridge). Admission is $2.50, and free for Vancity members or with a non-perishable food donation to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.
