A 1992 Screaming Eagle has set a world record, selling for $17,625 during Iron Gate Wine's online auction that closed May 18.
The price is the highest ever paid for a single bottle of the famous ’92 Screaming Eagle vintage, set just two months after Iron Gate began its online auction operation. The auction yielded strong prices in all categories, with an impressive offering of Bordeaux and Burgundy leading the way, grossing $673,510 overall.
